The problem
Ready-mix plants and materials-testing labs both run on borrowed time: a stale load, an unlogged sample, or an unreleased report carries real financial and regulatory consequences. Sales, dispatch, batching and the lab live in disconnected spreadsheets, so the same batch number gets re-keyed at every handoff and nobody has live visibility into stock, trucks, or overdue samples.
The solution
One Odoo app runs the plant and the lab together: orders flow to dispatch, weighbridge and QC, while lab samples link straight back to the originating load. Every stage keeps a full audit trail, so a plant manager sees stock and truck status at a glance and a lab manager sees exactly what is overdue — without re-typing a single batch number.
