Guided variant matching
When a product has variants, the wizard makes the target variant explicit before you add a single component, so mismatches cannot slip through unnoticed.
Completeness guard
Saving with zero components is blocked outright, and a manufactured product with implausibly few lines gets a plain-language warning — optionally a hard block via settings.
Manufacturing or Kit in one click
Choose Manufacture this product or Kit at creation time so the BoM behaves correctly in production and sales the moment it is saved.
Live component-cost rollup
A running Total Component Cost updates as you add or edit lines, so you catch a wrong quantity or missing part before you save, not after.
Reusable BoM templates
Save a component set as a template for a product family, then start any future BoM from it instead of re-entering the same lines by hand.
