The problem

The POS grid groups by product template, so a 30-variant product occupies a single tile with a variant-count badge instead of thirty near-identical tiles to scroll through.
Decision-Complete Variant Dialog
Tapping a template opens a card-based Variant Selection dialog showing each real variant's thumbnail, live stock status and price side by side, so cashiers never guess.
Attribute Filter Chips
Filter chips for size, colour and other attributes narrow long variant lists in the dialog down to the exact match in a couple of taps.
Recent-Picks Row
A recent-picks row surfaces the variants most recently chosen for a template, turning repeat selections into a single tap.
Parent-Barcode Scanning
Scan a single shared barcode printed on the item to open variant selection directly, even when individual variants have no barcode of their own.
Barcode Conflict Resolution
When a scanned code matches more than one product, a conflict popup lists every candidate so the cashier picks the right one instead of the scan failing silently.
Safe Bundle Preview
Bundle templates show a contents preview with per-line editable quantities and a confirm step before every component line is added to the order.

Tag Templates & Bundles
Set a shared parent barcode on a variant-heavy template, or flag a product as a bundle and add its component lines.
Cashier Taps or Scans
At the register, a template tile shows its variant count; a bundle tap or parent-barcode scan opens the right dialog automatically.
Confirm & Checkout
The cashier confirms the exact variant or bundle contents in the dialog, and the correct line(s) land on the order in one tap.
