The problem
Every login drops POS staff onto the Odoo backend dashboard first. A cashier then has to open the apps menu, find Point of Sale, pick the right session, and start it — two to three extra clicks at every shift change, till handover, and session timeout. On slower managed environments the backend loads even slower than POS itself, and non-technical staff end up exploring a backend they were never meant to see.

When the primary till is not immediately usable, a branded launcher page shows live status for every assigned terminal, offers an available fallback, and logs the outcome — so staff are never stranded and managers always have a record of who reached which terminal and when.

Live Terminal Status
Every assigned terminal reports its real-time status — available, in use, or unavailable — so staff and managers always know what to expect before entering.
Multi-Terminal Fallback
When the primary terminal is closed, offline, or occupied, the module automatically offers the next available assigned terminal instead of a dead end.

A permission-aware fallback lets managers and authorized users reach the Odoo backend on demand, so troubleshooting never requires an administrator.
Full Audit Log
Every direct-login event is recorded — user, terminal assigned, terminal reached, and outcome — giving managers full oversight across every till.
Global Master Switch
Turn direct-login routing on or off for the whole company from Point of Sale settings, without touching a single user's assignment.

Assign Terminals
Enable Direct Login for a user and assign one or more Point of Sale terminals in priority order from their user form.
User Logs In
The moment the user authenticates, the module checks their assigned terminals instead of loading the backend dashboard.

An available terminal opens immediately; otherwise the branded launcher shows live status and a clear next step.
Outcome Logged
