The problem
Odoo generates PDF reports — invoices, quotations, delivery slips, purchase orders — and sends them straight to a download or the printer, with no chance to look first. Accounts teams running a hundred invoices, warehouse staff printing delivery slips, and admins generating documents all day only discover a wrong template, a blank page, or a missing line item after paper and time are already wasted.
The solution
PDF Report Print Preview intercepts every report before it downloads and shows the exact document on screen first. Confirm it looks right, then print, download, or open it in a new tab — and for batches, a pre-flight check flags blank, erroring, or forbidden documents before a single page reaches the printer.

True-Fidelity Rendering
The preview uses the browser's own PDF engine against the same file you would have downloaded, so what you see on screen is exactly what prints — no blur, no re-render.
Global Master Switch
Turn preview on or off for the whole database from Settings, along with the default preview mode and the batch pre-flight limit.
Per-Report Opt-Out
Some reports should always download directly — disable preview per report from its own configuration form.
Per-User Preview Mode
Every user can set their own preview mode — modal, new tab, or straight to download — from their preferences.
