Tab switching never triggers a silent save on a protected record, and refreshing or closing the tab shows the browser's native unsaved-changes prompt instead of an urgent background save.

How it works
Set your policy
In General Settings, turn on protection, choose the default scope, and decide whether users may override it.
Choose protected models
Run the setup wizard or add rules directly — hard-lock critical models so protection can never be turned off.
Work as normal
Edit a protected record; the header shows a Protected badge and flags unsaved changes as you type.
Confirm on exit
Try to leave a dirty record and choose Save, Discard, or Keep Editing — nothing commits silently.
