The problem
When a portal user reports "I can't see my invoice" or "the download button is missing," support agents and QA testers have no reliable way to reproduce it. Native Odoo has no portal impersonation, so teams fall back to requesting screenshots, guessing at access rules, or creating throwaway test accounts that never quite match the real user.

How it works
Enable Access
An admin runs the guided onboarding wizard and applies a role preset to grant the Tester or Manager impersonation group.
Pick a Portal User
Open the Portal Users list, select the target account, and choose "Impersonate in Portal" from the Actions menu.
See Their View
The session switches instantly and a banner confirms "Viewing as [User]" on every page you visit.
Return Safely
Click Return in the banner to switch back instantly, or let the configurable timeout auto-revert the session if you forget.
