Stop checking stock. Get told when it runs low.
Low Stock Notification watches every product across every warehouse and pushes an alert — by email and in-app — the moment quantity drops below threshold, with a live dashboard and a verifiable delivery log so you always know it is working.
The problem
Odoo's Reordering Rules and Replenishment screens are passive — someone has to remember to open them. Most teams find out stock ran out only after a sales order fails or a customer complains, and by then the fix is a rush shipment or an emergency purchase at a bad price. The handful of low-stock notifier apps on the market are single-purpose email pingers with no dashboard, no delivery confirmation, and no way to configure more than one product at a time.
The solution
A consolidated dashboard shows every monitored product, its current quantity, its threshold, and when it last alerted — so you never have to trust an inbox alone. Set thresholds once globally or per-product and per-warehouse, choose email and/or in-app delivery, immediate or digest cadence, and prove it works with a one-click test alert during a guided setup wizard. Every alert is logged, and alerts are automatically suppressed once an open purchase order already covers the shortage.
Everything a stockout-proof workflow needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Consolidated Low-Stock Dashboard
One list and kanban view of every monitored product with available quantity, threshold, status badge, and last-alert date, with a one-click "Refresh Now" and a default filter for what is currently low.
On-Hand or Forecasted Basis
Choose whether alerts trigger on physical on-hand quantity or on quantity net of confirmed incoming and outgoing moves, so the threshold matches how your team actually plans replenishment.
Global, Per-Product & Per-Warehouse Thresholds
Set a company-wide default threshold, override it per product, and go further with per-warehouse overrides for any product stocked across more than one location.
Exclude-From-Monitoring Flag
Silence a discontinued or intentionally low-stock product with a single toggle on the product form, without deleting any of its threshold configuration.
Dual-Channel Delivery: Email & Discuss
Alerts go out by email, by in-app Discuss notification, or both, so a missed or filtered email is never the only path to finding out about a shortage. Each user opts in individually.
Immediate Alerts or Scheduled Digests
Send an alert the moment a threshold is breached, or roll every breach into a daily, weekly, or monthly digest with a PDF snapshot attached — your call, so a busy catalog never floods an inbox.
Purchase-Order-Aware Suppression
No repeat alerts once an open purchase order or RFQ already covers a shortage, so your team is never nagged about a problem it has already solved.
Verifiable Alert History & Delivery Log
Every alert — immediate or digest — is logged with its type, channel, recipients, covered products, and a sent or failed state, so you can always confirm notifications are actually going out instead of hoping they are.
Guided Setup Wizard with Test Alert
Configure enablement, threshold, basis, channels, and recipients in one dialog, then send a real test alert on the spot so you know — before you ever need it — that the app is working.
How it works
Run the setup wizard
Enable monitoring, set a default threshold and basis, pick email and/or Discuss, and choose recipients.
Send a test alert
Confirm delivery on the spot from the wizard, before a real shortage ever happens.
Fine-tune per product
Override the threshold for individual SKUs and warehouses, or exclude a product from monitoring entirely.
Watch the dashboard
Alerts arrive automatically and every one is logged, with the dashboard always showing current status.

Set a single global default threshold in Settings that applies to every monitored product automatically, then only override the specific SKUs that need a different number — no need to open each product one by one.
