The problem
Product weight drives shipping quotes, carrier labels, and warehouse planning, but standard Odoo lets any automatic recalculation silently overwrite a hand-corrected value. Fixing weights means editing one product at a time, with no bulk tool, no unit clarity, and no record of who changed what — so bad data keeps reaching shipping.

Manually Weight adds a persistent lock so a manual weight always wins over automatic recalculation, plus a one-click wizard, multi-select bulk update, and CSV import to fix hundreds of products at once. A configurable unit label and divergence alerts catch mistakes at entry, and every change is logged with who, when, and old-to-new values.
