A tinted colour is not a product — it is a recipe of one base and several colorants mixed on demand. Generic Odoo products and bills of materials expose every component on quotes and invoices, stock never deducts the right materials, costing is guesswork, and counter staff re-key recipes by hand across catalogues of tens of thousands of colours and multiple brands.

Cost and price compute automatically from component costs, sale orders expand the colour into zero-priced component lines so stock moves correctly, and every document — quote, invoice or picking slip — shows the customer one clean colour line.

Three paint product types
Bases, colorants and colour formulas are modelled as distinct, correctly-typed products — formulas as services, bases and colorants as stocked materials — so the paint domain is accurate from the ground up.
Recipe composition on every formula
Each colour formula stores its base and colorants with exact per-unit quantities, so every colour is costed, priced and consumed from stock with precision instead of a free-text note.
Automatic cost roll-up
Formula cost recalculates automatically from the standard cost of every component, so a supplier price change flows straight through to accurate costing without manual recalculation.
Three pricing modes, your choice
Price formulas by cost plus margin, a fixed override, or supplier cost plus markup — apply the computed price to the product with one click whenever you need to re-price.
Clean sale order lines, accurate stock
Confirming an order expands each colour line into zero-priced component child lines automatically, so bases and colorants deduct from stock while the customer's quote and invoice show only the colour.
Colour-only picking slips
A dedicated picking report prints one line per colour on the warehouse slip, with the full component breakdown available only when you choose to show it — cutting paperwork without losing stock accuracy.
Bulk catalogue import
Load a supplier's CSV or Excel catalogue with your own column mapping, background-processed in resumable slices with a per-row error log and duplicate prevention on re-import.
Colour Finder with swatch preview
Search the catalogue by brand, base, colour code or free text and confirm every result visually with a colour swatch before opening it.
Barcodes and a full audit trail
