The problem
A flat shipping rate over-charges nearby customers and under-charges distant ones. Odoo's core delivery methods only support generic rules based on weight, volume or price — there is no first-class notion of a geographic zone, so merchants are left stacking clumsy conditions or hiring a developer just to charge delivery fees that reflect where the customer actually is.
The solution
Delivery Cost by Location adds named geographic zones (country, states or zip prefixes) with per-carrier, per-zone fees and quantity bands. The right cost is resolved automatically from the shipping address at checkout, coverage is reviewed on a colour-coded board before it goes live, and revenue is tracked per zone — all from a single guided setup.

Geographic Delivery Zones
Define named zones by country, states, or zip/postal code prefixes — the way merchants actually think about their delivery area, not abstract weight or price brackets.
Per-Carrier, Per-Zone Pricing
Attach a distinct fee to each zone for each delivery method, with quantity bands (e.g. a lower rate up to 5 items, a higher rate above) and an optional free-shipping threshold per zone.
Automatic Cost Resolution
Plugs straight into Odoo's native delivery engine. The correct zone and fee are resolved automatically from the customer's shipping address at checkout — no custom storefront widget required.
Destination Availability & Fallback
