Odoo's native Surveys module is built for anonymous, broadcast distribution. Directed Employee Targeting
Flag any survey as an Employee Survey and choose its audience: all employees, a set of departments, job positions, or specific employees — only staff with an active user account are eligible.
One-Click Assignment Generation
Generate Assignments creates one tracked assignment per eligible employee, automatically links the native survey response, and skips anyone already assigned — safe to re-run at any time.
Deadlines & Automated Reminders
Set a response deadline per survey and let a daily scheduled job email reminders a configurable number of days before it, so non-respondents are chased automatically instead of manually.
Automatic Expiry
Assignments that pass their deadline without a completed response are automatically marked Expired by the same scheduled job, keeping status accurate without manual cleanup.
Participation & Satisfaction Analytics
Every employee survey shows a live assignment count, completion count, participation rate, and average satisfaction score, backed by graph and pivot views for deeper analysis.
Assignment Lifecycle Tracking
Each assignment moves through Pending, In Progress, Completed, or Expired automatically as the linked response is started or finished, with a full chatter history on every record.
Personalized My Surveys Portal
Logged-in employees see their own To Do, Completed, and Expired surveys on a dedicated portal page, with deadline badges and direct start, continue, and view-result links.
Built on the Native Survey Engine
Question types, conditional branching, scoring, and the survey-taking experience are all the real Odoo Surveys engine — nothing is reimplemented, so every native feature keeps working.

Target the audience
Turn on Employee Survey, pick All Employees, a department, a job position, or specific people, and set a response deadline.
Generate assignments
Click Generate Assignments to create a tracked assignment and linked response for every eligible employee in one step.
Employees respond
Employees open My Surveys in the portal, complete their pending surveys, and receive an automatic reminder before the deadline.
Review the results
HR watches participation rate, average score, and per-assignment status from the survey form's analytics and assignment list.
