Employee Workload Calculation & Notification computes each employee's workload straight from their open project tasks against a configurable capacity, then surfaces it on a live, interactive dashboard. Overloaded employees are flagged automatically, managers can drill into the exact tasks driving the load, task assignment is guarded with a warn-or-block policy, and one-click rebalancing moves work to whoever has spare capacity.

Configurable Workload Calculation
Each employee's committed workload is computed from the allocated hours of their open project tasks, weighed against a capacity derived from configurable hours per day and working days per week.
Forward-Looking Workload Window
A configurable forecast window (default 14 days) counts tasks whose deadline falls ahead, so the dashboard shows committed load for the days that matter next, not just what is overdue today.
Live Workload Dashboard
An always-on kanban and list dashboard shows every employee's committed hours, capacity, available hours, and workload percentage at a glance, grouped by department, with colour-coded overload flags.
Drill-Down to the Driving Tasks
A Tasks smart button on every employee opens exactly the project tasks behind their current load, turning a percentage into an actionable list.
Guided Assignment Blocking
When a task is assigned to an employee over their threshold, the app can warn with a logged message or block the assignment outright — configurable per company, with a per-task override for managers.
One-Click Rebalancing
The Rebalance Work wizard finds the overloaded employee's tasks, suggests the same-department colleague with the most spare capacity, and reassigns selected tasks in a single action.
Historical Workload Trend
A daily snapshot job records every employee's workload, capacity, and overload status, building a trend history you can browse by employee, department, or date to spot chronic imbalance.
Configurable Notifications & Subscriptions
Managers and designated followers subscribe to workload alerts on a daily, weekly, or on-threshold-only cadence, so the right people hear about overload without a rigid single digest.
