The problem
Shoppers buying heavy or bulky goods add items to their cart with no idea what the order weighs or how much space it takes up — until a shipping charge appears late, or never. That opacity drives cart abandonment, and it stops merchants from setting weight- or volume-based delivery rules and minimum order thresholds.
The solution
This module shows cumulative weight and volume as clearly labeled totals on the cart and checkout, pulls the numbers straight from your existing product data, and adds a transparent, non-binding shipping estimate. Merchants get a single settings page to control display placement and set checkout limits by amount, weight, or volume.

Live cart & checkout totals
Cumulative weight and volume are shown as clearly labeled summary rows above the grand total, on the cart page and the checkout summary alike.

How it works
Configure your rules
In Website Settings, choose what to show, turn on the shipping estimate and set its rates, and define your checkout thresholds.
Shopper builds the cart
Weight and volume totals, plus the shipping estimate, update live on the cart and checkout as items are added.
Limits are enforced
If a configured minimum amount or maximum weight or volume is exceeded, a clear alert explains why and checkout is blocked.
Data reaches the back office
Totals are stored on the sale order, printed on the order document, and attached to the confirmation email.

They are computed automatically by multiplying each cart line's quantity by that product's existing Weight and Volume fields. There is no separate data entry — the totals stay in sync as the cart changes.
