Odoo's website_sale gives shoppers no fast way to empty a cart. This app adds a polished, safe Clear cart control with instant refresh, a confirmation dialog, an undo window, save-for-later and a full backend audit log — active the moment you install it.
The problem
Shoppers who want to reset a cart have to remove every line one at a time — slow, annoying, and a common reason for last-minute drop-off before checkout. Admins feel it too: abandoned carts and stray draft orders pile up with no clean way to reset them. Existing clear-cart apps make it worse: several clear the cart on the server but never refresh the page, so shoppers see a stale cart and assume nothing happened, and most fire an irreversible wipe with no confirmation and no way back.
The solution
Website Clear Shopping Cart adds a single, obvious Clear cart control to the storefront that empties the cart in place — no page reload, no stale screen. A confirmation dialog stops accidental wipes, an in-session undo window brings a cleared cart straight back, and an optional save-for-later checkbox moves items to the wishlist instead of losing them. It works the moment you install it, with every behaviour — label, style, position, confirmation, undo timeout and redirect — configurable from Website Settings, and every clear event logged for admins to review.

One-click cart clear
A single click empties the entire cart via a dedicated endpoint that unlinks the order lines — the sale order itself is kept, so no order records are lost.
Instant in-page refresh
The cart region updates immediately using the same partial-refresh mechanism as native Odoo cart updates — no page reload, no stale cart left on screen.
Confirmation dialog
An optional confirmation dialog asks shoppers to confirm before the cart is cleared, preventing accidental, irreversible wipes.
In-session undo window
A configurable undo window (default 300 seconds) lets shoppers restore a just-cleared cart — every line, quantity and option — straight from the success notification.
Save items for later
Shoppers can push cart items to their wishlist before clearing, so a change of mind never means losing track of a product they wanted.
Active out of the box
The clear-cart button is enabled the moment the module is installed — no hidden setting to find first.
Context-sensitive visibility
The button only appears when the cart actually has items, so the cart page stays clean when there is nothing to clear.
Full admin configuration
Website Settings lets admins set the button label, style and position, toggle confirmation, undo and save-for-later, and choose the post-clear redirect — all per website.
Clear-event audit log
Every clear event is recorded in the backend with the website, customer, item count and cart value, so admins can see clearing activity at a glance.
How it works
Shopper clicks Clear cart
The button appears above or below the cart lines the moment the cart has items.
Confirm (optional)
A confirmation dialog asks the shopper to confirm, with an optional save-for-later checkbox.
Cart clears instantly
The cart region refreshes in place and a success notification appears with an Undo action.
Admin reviews the log
Every clear event is saved to the Cart Clear Events log for admins to review later.
