A resizable master-detail split turns any Odoo list into a click-through queue: open a row's form right beside the list, edit in place, and jump to the next record with a keystroke — no page switch, no lost scroll position.
The problem
Odoo's default list-to-form navigation replaces the whole screen every time you open a record. Sales reps qualifying leads, accountants reconciling entries, and support agents triaging tickets lose their scroll position, their filters, and their mental place in the queue on every single click — a small tax that adds up fast across dozens of records a day.
The solution
Split View adds a resizable master-detail pane directly to the list: click a row and its form opens beside the list, not over it. Keyboard shortcuts move you through the queue, the active row stays highlighted, and every user's preferred layout is remembered per model — so the queue moves as fast as you can work it.

Side-by-side master-detail
Click any row and its form opens in an adjacent pane, in place, with in-context inline editing — the list never leaves the screen.
Active-row highlighting
The currently-open record's row stays visibly highlighted in the list, so you always know exactly where you are in the queue.
Keyboard-first navigation
Move through the loaded queue with Alt+N / Alt+P, or use the matching on-screen previous/next buttons in the form pane.
Resizable, visible divider
A draggable divider with a clear grip handle plus one-click 50/60/70 ratio presets — resizing is easy to find and easy to use.
Horizontal or vertical layout
Toggle between a horizontal split and a stacked vertical split so the layout fits your screen and your data.
Transparent, resettable persistence
Every user's layout is saved per model and listed in "My Layouts" — open, review, and reset any saved preference with one click.
Stale-state warning
If an admin bumps the layout defaults, saved preferences are flagged stale with a clear banner and a one-click reset — nothing goes silently out of date.
Per-model admin allowlist
Administrators choose exactly which models offer split view from an "Enabled Models" screen, so it appears only where it adds value.
Zero-config defaults
Works out of the box with sensible global defaults set in General Settings, plus mark-outdated and reset-all maintenance actions for admins.
