The problem
Standard Odoo lets a salesperson pick a customer and products, but not which internal location fulfills each line. That decision gets pushed to the warehouse, who guess or manually re-route pickings — causing mispicks, extra internal transfers, and delivery paperwork that does not match how stock is actually staged.
The solution
Turn on Multi-Location Delivery, pick a source location per order line, and confirm as normal. Odoo automatically creates one delivery per distinct location — no route setup, no prerequisites. Install it and it works on the very first order.

Per-line source location
Pick any internal location for each sale order line, not just child locations of the warehouse default — from a shelf to a regional depot.
Order-level Enable toggle
A clear "Enable Multi-Location Delivery" switch on the order keeps simple, single-location sales uncluttered when you do not need it.
Automatic one-delivery-per-location split
On confirmation, Odoo automatically generates a separate delivery for every distinct source location used on the order — each warehouse zone gets its own actionable picking.
Defined "no location" fallback
Lines left without a location are never a guessing game — they automatically fall back to the warehouse's default source location.
Duplicate product/location warning
A soft on-entry warning flags when the same product and source location are added twice, heading off confusing or unintentionally split deliveries.
Access-controlled delivery visibility
A dedicated security group controls whether the Source and Destination Location fields appear on the delivery form, so admins decide who sees what.
Delivery smart button
Jump straight from the sale order to every delivery it generated with the built-in Delivery smart button — no extra clicks to track fulfillment.
Configurable customer portal line
An admin-controlled setting shows customers a "Fulfilled from" location line on their portal order — on by choice, never forced.

How it works
Enable multi-location
Turn on "Enable Multi-Location Delivery" on the sale order to reveal the Source Location column on order lines.
Choose a location per line
Pick the internal location each product ships from. Leave a line blank to use the warehouse default.
Confirm the order
Confirm as usual. Odoo automatically creates one delivery per distinct source location used on the order.
Track and validate
Open each delivery from the order's Delivery smart button and validate the picking from its own location.
