The problem
Bulk and commodity sellers price by weight, but Odoo Sales has no running weight or volume total, no way to price a line per kilogram, and no record of the difference between a quoted weight and the weight measured at dispatch. Reps quote on an estimate, goods are weighed later, and someone has to remember to manually recalculate the price and reissue the document — a slow step that delays fulfillment and invites billing disputes.
The solution
This module adds automatic weight and volume totals to every sale order, a price-per-weight-unit option for individual lines, and side-by-side estimated vs. actual weight fields. The moment the actual weight is entered, the line price recalculates itself. A weighing-pending badge keeps the outstanding step visible until it is done, and you can optionally block invoicing until it is.

Automatic Weight & Volume Totals
Every order line rolls its weight and volume into order-level totals, so reps never total a shipment by hand.
Weight-Based Pricing
Flag a line "Price by Weight" and set a price per weight unit; the line price is calculated from weight instead of a flat unit price.
Estimated vs. Actual Weight
Hold a quoted estimated weight alongside the weight measured at preparation, without losing either figure.
Automatic Price Recalculation
The moment an actual weight is entered on a price-by-weight line, its price recalculates silently — no manual re-quote, no reissued document.
Weighing-Pending Workflow Badge
A status badge on the order header shows Weighing Pending or Weighed at a glance, so the final measurement step is never missed.
Optional Invoicing Gate
Optionally require every price-by-weight line to have an actual weight before an order can be invoiced, configurable in Sales Settings.

Total weight and volume print on the customer-facing quotation and order PDF, configurable on or off.

How it works
Quote with an estimate
Add order lines and flag weight-priced items; the estimated weight defaults from the product's weight times quantity.
Order shows Weighing Pending
The order header displays a Weighing Pending badge until every weight-priced line has an actual weight recorded.
Enter the actual weight
When goods are weighed during preparation, enter the actual weight directly on the order line.
Price finalizes automatically
The line price recalculates instantly from the actual weight, the badge flips to Weighed, and totals update across the order.
