The problem
When a Manufacturing Order is short on components, planners leave the screen, retype every product and quantity into a new purchase, and hope they remembered the right vendor and quantity. Nothing checks whether the parts will even arrive before production is due to start, so shortages turn into missed schedules discovered only on the shop floor.
The solution
A Create Purchase button on the Manufacturing Order opens a wizard pre-filled straight from the bill of materials, defaults each line's vendor and price, and warns before creation if a component will arrive after the MO's planned start — so the planner buys the right things, from the right vendor, in time.

Create Purchase, right on the MO
A single header button on the Manufacturing Order opens the purchasing wizard, and a Purchases smart button shows every order already raised against this job.
BOM-aware line pre-fill
The wizard reads the MO's exploded bill of materials and pre-fills one line per component, with quantities already scaled to the MO's build quantity.
Partial, selective procurement
Tick only the components you need to buy right now and defer the rest — the next pass automatically shows what is still outstanding.
Lead-time safety check
Before you create anything, the wizard compares each component's expected delivery against the MO's planned start date and flags any line that would arrive too late.
Automatic vendor grouping
Selected components are grouped by vendor so each supplier gets one clean purchase order instead of a mess of separate lines to sort out.
Vendor defaulting with override
Every line defaults to the component's known supplier, price and lead time, while remaining fully editable when the planner needs to choose differently.
RFQ or confirmed order, your call
Switch between raising a draft Request for Quotation or a confirmed Purchase Order, with the default mode configurable per company.
Edit quantity, price and tax in the wizard
Adjust quantity, unit price and taxes on any line before the purchase order is created, with the values you set carried through untouched.
Full MO-to-PO traceability
Every generated order links back to its Manufacturing Order as the source document, shows already-ordered quantities to prevent double buying, and is automatically cancelled if the MO itself is cancelled.

Open the MO
From any confirmed Manufacturing Order, click Create Purchase to launch the wizard.
Review the pre-fill
See every BOM component pre-listed with quantity, vendor and any late-delivery warning.
Select and adjust
Tick the components to buy now, tune quantity, price, tax or vendor, and choose RFQ or confirmed mode.
Create and track
Purchase orders are created, linked back to the MO, and ready to view or confirm in one click.
