Internal notes on customer records are one click away from a costly leak. A message meant to stay in-house broadcasts to every follower, including portal customers and external partners, and there is no visual cue in the thread to warn you before you hit reply.
The solution
Cerevantix Private Thread adds a one-click privacy toggle to every chatter and composer. Private messages are automatically hidden from portal and external partners, delivered only to the internal recipients you pick, tagged and logged for accountability, and marked with a badge that is impossible to miss.

Send Privately Toggle
A one-click checkbox in the full composer, paired with a recipient picker and inline help, turns any message into a private one before you send it.
No Follower Broadcast
Private messages skip the standard follower notification list entirely — only the internal recipients you explicitly select are notified.
Portal-Safe by Design
Marking a message private forces it internal, so Odoo's own portal-visibility rules keep it out of reach of portal and external partners.
Retroactive Batch-Mark
Select existing messages from any list and mark them private in one action, with recipients and tags applied to the whole batch.
Colour-Coded Tags
Apply a pre-defined palette or custom colours to messages, visible right on the kanban card front, with one-click filtering by tag.
Append-Only Audit Log
Every mark, unmark, and batch action is written to a read-only log capturing who acted, when, and on which document.
Private Discuss Channels
Flag a channel as private and it disappears from search for anyone who is not already a member.
Expiring Memberships
Give a channel member an expiry date and a daily scheduled action removes their access automatically once it passes.
Chatter Privacy Badge
A clear Private badge renders directly in the chatter thread, so a confidential message is never mistaken for a public one.
How it works
Toggle Send privately
Check the Send privately box in the composer or on any chatter message and pick the internal recipients who should see it.
Send with confidence
The message is forced internal, the follower broadcast is skipped, and portal or external partners never receive or see it.
Organise with tags
Apply colour-coded tags such as Pricing, HR, Legal, or Approval so confidential threads are easy to filter and scan.
Review the trail
Open the append-only Audit Log any time to see exactly who marked, unmarked, or batch-processed each message.
