The problem
At the moment a Manufacturing Order finishes, the operator has a lot or serial number in Odoo but no fast way to put a compliant, scannable label on the physical goods. Manual transcription, spreadsheet exports, or generic product-label prints that drop the lot context all introduce errors and break traceability — and existing free or paid apps each cover only one slice (a report, a PDF export, or a scan-only screen) with no single, coherent print & scan loop.
The solution
A single "Print Barcode Labels" button on the Manufacturing Order opens a wizard that prints exactly what the shop floor needs: finished-good lot or serial labels, consumed component lots, the finished product's own barcode, or work-order labels — in Code128, EAN-13, or QR, on a label sheet or a single large label, with missing lot/serial numbers generated and every barcode validated before a single label prints.

One-Click Print From the MO
A "Print Barcode Labels" button sits right on the Manufacturing Order header from confirmed onward, so operators never leave the screen they are working on.
Batch Printing Across Orders
Select multiple Manufacturing Orders from the list and print every label for the whole production run in a single pass from the Actions menu.
Tracking-Aware Output
Label content automatically matches each product's tracking configuration, so serial-tracked items print per unit and lot-tracked items print per lot with no manual toggling.
Generate Missing Lot/Serial Numbers
When an operator needs a label but no lot or serial exists yet, the wizard generates it on the spot — no detour into the Inventory app.
Finished Goods, Components & Work Orders
Print finished-product lot/serial labels, consumed raw-material lot labels, the finished product's own barcode, or work-order labels — all from one wizard.
Three Symbologies
Choose Code128, EAN-13, or QR per print run so labels match your existing scanner hardware and label stock instead of a hard-coded format.
Two Label Formats
Print a full A4 label sheet for a production run or a single large label for one item — and set the number of copies per label.
Pre-Print Barcode Validation
Every code is checked against the chosen symbology before printing, with a clear error naming the offending value instead of a silently unscannable label.

How it works
Open or select MOs
Click "Print Barcode Labels" on a confirmed Manufacturing Order, or select several rows in the MO list for a batch run.
Choose what to print
Pick the subject (finished lot/serial, components, product barcode, or work orders), the symbology, the label format, and the copy count.
Generate & validate
Missing lot or serial numbers are generated on demand, and every barcode value is validated against the chosen symbology before anything prints.
Print & scan back
The PDF label prints the real lot or product barcode, so it scans natively in Odoo's own Barcode and Inventory apps.
