The problem
Standard Odoo Point of Sale has no structured way to layer priced toppings and modifiers onto a product at order entry. Staff resort to dozens of product variants or free-text notes — both slow at the counter, error-prone during a rush, and impossible to report on afterward. Worse, other topping apps on the market are known to send modifier selections that silently fail to save, so tickets and kitchen output do not match what the customer ordered.
The solution
POS Product Toppings adds a touch-optimized modifier panel directly to the Point of Sale product screen. Toppings are saved onto the order line itself — the most battle-tested persistence path in POS — and priced automatically, so every selection is confirmed, charged correctly, and printed on the receipt. Zero-config topping sets let bar, cafe, restaurant and ice-cream teams go live without hand-building a single combination.

A large-tile popup opens automatically when a topping-enabled product is added, grouping choices into single-choice or multiple-choice sections with a running selected count and price total.
Guaranteed Persistence
Toppings are stored on the order line itself and confirmed with an on-screen notification the moment they are applied — no more modifiers that get sent but never saved.
One-Tap Topping Sets
Batch templates such as “House Burger” or “Sundae Classic” apply a full set of toppings in a single tap instead of selecting each modifier one by one.
Priced Modifiers & Surcharges
Each topping carries its own per-unit surcharge, which folds automatically into the order line price and multiplies correctly with quantity.
Receipt & Customer Display Lines
Every chosen topping prints as its own line on the order screen, the customer receipt and the customer-facing display, so the charge and the choice are always transparent.
Bulk Topping Management
A single wizard offers or removes a topping group across many products, or reprices a whole group by a fixed amount, a percentage, or a new set price.
Topping Analysis Report
A pivot, graph and list report breaks down topping revenue by topping, group, product and POS configuration for menu-level sales visibility.
Min/Max Selection Rules
Each topping group can require a minimum number of picks and cap a maximum, with single-choice groups behaving as radio buttons and multi-choice as toggles.
