The problem
Retail and hospitality staff waste time at the counter keying in order references by hand for returns, exchanges, and lookups. Odoo's native POS receipt prints no scannable code, and the QR option that does exist is hidden away in Settings, so most stores never turn it on.

POS Receipt Barcode & QR prints a barcode or QR code on every customer receipt, encoding the order reference so a single scan pulls up the exact order. Format, size, placement, and what gets encoded are all set from a no-code settings page, with a live preview before you ever print a receipt.

Barcode or QR on every receipt
Print a scannable Code128, EAN-13, Code39, or Interleaved 2 of 5 barcode, or a QR code, on the customer receipt encoding the order reference.
No-code settings, per register
Choose code type, format, what to encode, size, and placement from a plain settings page — no XML or JavaScript editing required.
Live preview before you print
See the exact barcode or QR image render on the settings page as you change format and size, so you confirm scannability without wasting receipt paper.
Valid EAN-13 generation
Order codes encoded as EAN-13 get a properly computed GS1 check digit, so every printed barcode passes standard scanner validation.
Scan-to-reopen any order
A dedicated lookup engine matches a scanned or typed code to its order by receipt code, order reference, tracking number, or ID.
One-tap manual lookup
A Reopen Order button on the POS product screen opens a lookup popup for scanning or typing a receipt code by hand.
Order status and totals on scan
Looking up a code surfaces the order's state, date, total, and customer in one dialog, so staff confirm the right order before acting.
Branded caption on every code
Add a custom caption below the printed code, such as "Scan to reopen this order", translated per your receipt language.
One screen for every register
A dedicated Receipt Codes menu lists every POS configuration's code settings and preview in one place, replacing scattered menus.
How it works
Enable and configure
Turn on receipt codes for a POS configuration and choose the code type, format, size, and placement.
Preview the code
Check the live barcode or QR preview on the settings page before opening the register.
Print on the receipt
Every completed order prints its code on the customer receipt at the position you configured.
Scan to reopen
Scan the code or tap Reopen Order to instantly pull up the order's status, total, and history.
