Recall any order, re-order in one tap
Browse a customer’s full POS order history without leaving the till, then rebuild their basket — whole order or single line — with one tap. Search, reprint, email and refund-bridge, all in the native POS screen your cashiers already know.
The problem
Standard POS only shows the current session’s tickets. Reprinting a lost receipt, repeating “the same as last time,” or starting a return means the cashier re-keys every line by memory or drops into the back office mid-queue — slow, error-prone, and disruptive at the counter.
The solution
A split-pane history screen built into POS: search any past order by reference, customer or product, inspect it in full detail, then re-add the whole order or a single line straight to the active cart — qty adjustable, configurator skipped, original price and discount preserved.
Everything the counter needs, nothing it doesn’t
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Split-pane order history
A scrollable list of order-summary cards (reference, recency label, customer, item count, total, status badge) sits beside a full detail pane — scan and inspect without ever leaving the screen.
Full-text search & filters
Type any fragment — reference, customer name, or product — and jump straight to results. Narrow further with date range and order status, no reference-only lookup required.
Whole-order & per-line re-order
Add an entire past order to the active cart in one tap, or cherry-pick individual lines — both flows live side by side instead of forcing an all-or-nothing copy.
Inline quantity, no pop-ups
Adjust quantity with an inline spinner right on the line before adding it to the cart — no modal dialogs breaking touchscreen speed, and the product configurator is skipped since the item is already configured.
Preserves price, discount & notes
Re-ordered lines carry over the original variant, quantity, discount, tax and order/customer notes exactly as sold — the repeat matches what the customer actually got.
Reprint, email & ticket bridge
Reprint a lost receipt, email a copy to the customer, or open the order in Odoo’s native Ticket Screen to start a refund — all from the same detail pane.
Customer stats & recent products
Open history from a selected customer to see total spend, last order amount and average order value, plus a chip list of their recently sold products for one-tap quick add.
Configurable load scope & CSV export
Choose current session, all past orders, or a last-N-days window, with a configurable order cap for performance. Export the filtered history to CSV for back-office reporting.
Per-terminal & per-salesperson access
Enable or disable history, reorder and reprint per POS terminal, and optionally restrict the whole feature to managers — a plain settings toggle, not a buried config.
How it works
Open history
Tap the history icon in the POS navbar, or the Order History button on a selected customer, to open the split-pane screen.
Find the order
Search or filter by reference, customer, product or date, then pick the right order from its summary card.
Adjust & add
Review the detail pane, tweak quantity inline if needed, then add the whole order or a single line straight to the active cart.
Finish the counter task
Charge the rebuilt cart, or reprint/email the receipt, or open the order in the Ticket Screen to process a refund.

Only completed, synced orders (paid or posted) appear — draft orders are excluded so reorder and reprint always act on real, finalized transactions.
