One-tap order types for every channel in your POS
Dine-In, Takeaway, Delivery, Pickup and Parcel — tagged in one tap, fee-aware, receipt-badged, and broken down in built-in analytics. Cerevantix POS Order Types turns a passive label into an active fulfillment engine for restaurants, cafes and mixed-service retailers.
The problem
Cashiers juggling dine-in, takeaway and delivery tickets during a rush have no fast way to tag each order — long dropdowns slow them down, packaging and delivery fees get applied inconsistently or forgotten, kitchen staff cannot tell whether to plate or bag an order, and the type is rarely surfaced in usable reporting once it is captured.
The solution
Cerevantix POS Order Types adds one-tap, colour-coded buttons for every fulfillment channel, applies packaging and delivery fees automatically, prints a bold badge on every receipt, and rolls every order into a built-in per-type analytics view — so nothing gets mis-routed and every channel's revenue is visible.
Everything you need to run a multi-channel POS
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Rich Order-Type Master Data
Define each fulfillment channel with a name, short kitchen code, category (Dine In, Takeaway, Delivery, Pickup, Parcel or Other), colour and Font Awesome icon, all fully archivable.
One-Tap Coloured POS Button
A single colour-coded Order Type button opens a selection popup so cashiers pick Dine-In, Takeaway or Delivery in one tap instead of scrolling a dropdown.
Default Type & Mandatory Guard
Set a default order type per POS for single-channel shops, and optionally block payment until an order type is selected so no ticket goes out untyped.
Automatic Per-Type Fee
Attach a packaging or delivery fee product and amount to any order type; the fee line is added automatically when the type is chosen, and stays fully cashier-overridable.
Customer-Facing Description
Give each type a customer-facing note, such as “Delivery arrives in 20-30 min”, shown on the receipt so customers know exactly what to expect.
Prominent Receipt Badge
The chosen order type prints as a bold, colour-coded badge on the customer receipt, so front and back-of-house staff read it at a glance instead of hunting for small text.
Backend Order Visibility
Order type is stored on every POS order and surfaced on the backend Orders list and form, with filters and group-by so managers can review any channel.
Per-Type Analytics
A dedicated Order Type Analysis view groups revenue and order count by type, so managers see which channels drive sales without exporting to a spreadsheet.
Multi-Location POS Configuration
Enable order types, choose the available set and set the default independently for every POS, so mixed-service venues configure dine-in, takeaway and delivery on one register.
How it works
Define your types
Create order types with a name, code, category, colour and icon, and optionally attach a fee product for packaging or delivery.
Enable on the POS
Turn on Order Types in POS settings, pick the available types for that register, and set a default and mandatory rule if needed.
Cashier taps to select
During checkout the cashier taps the colour-coded Order Type button and the correct fee is added automatically.
Track and report
The type prints on the receipt, and every order flows into the built-in per-type analytics view for managers.
Frequently asked
No sales fog. If your question isn't here, email us and we'll answer it the same way.
No. POS Order Types works alongside native Presets as an independent order-type engine, adding rich master data, automatic fees and per-type analytics that Presets does not provide.
