Define as many named stages as your process needs — Cutting, Assembly, Quality Check, Packing, or your own — each with a description, color, and drag-and-drop sequencing.
Product-Specific Stage Sets
Leave a stage global so it applies to every product, or scope it to specific finished goods — a “Curing” stage only offered for products that actually need it.
Visual Pipeline Kanban
See every Manufacturing Order grouped by its current stage in one kanban board, with drag-and-drop cards to move orders straight from the pipeline.
Inline Progress Bar & Step Badge
Every Manufacturing Order shows a live progress bar and a “Step X of Y” badge, so anyone opening the order knows instantly how far it has advanced.
Clickable Stage Statusbar
A dedicated stage statusbar sits alongside the native status bar on the Manufacturing Order, with Previous and Next Stage buttons for one-click advancement.
Automatic Notifications
When an order enters a stage, the stage’s responsible user is automatically notified with a scheduled activity and a chatter note logging the move.
Independent of Native States
Process stages run entirely alongside Odoo’s Draft / Confirmed / In Progress / Done flow — your native manufacturing process keeps working exactly as before.
Stage Visibility Everywhere
Group and filter Manufacturing Orders by stage from the standard list view, and browse, search, and group stages themselves from a dedicated configuration screen.
Manager-Controlled Configuration
Stage definitions live under Manufacturing > Configuration, with dedicated access rights so only managers create or edit stages while every user can move orders through them.

Define Your Stages
Create named process stages under Manufacturing > Configuration > Process Stages, set their order, and mark which one is final.
Scope to Products
Leave a stage global, or link it to specific product templates so it only applies to the finished goods that need it.
Track the Pipeline
Open the Process Pipeline kanban to see every order grouped by stage, or use the Previous / Next buttons right on the Manufacturing Order form.
Get Notified
The stage’s responsible user automatically receives a chatter note and a scheduled activity the moment an order reaches their stage.
