Auto POS Rounding adds explained, validated, auditable cash rounding on top of Odoo's native cash-rounding engine — currency presets, a live preview, per-payment-method rules, and a full reconciliation report.
The problem
Cash-heavy stores need totals rounded to the nearest coin, but existing rounding apps hide the math behind a bare, unlabelled number. Configurators cannot tell whether a rounding value of 0.05, 5, or 0.5 is correct, so registers ship misconfigured and accounting is left to reverse-engineer the differences with no audit trail at all.
The solution
Auto POS Rounding pairs Odoo's native cash-rounding engine with a configuration layer that explains itself: one-click currency presets, a live preview, a unit-labelled validated input, per-payment-method rules, and a per-order audit trail with a dedicated reconciliation report.
Everything a register needs to round correctly

Currency & regulatory presets
One-click presets for Switzerland (CHF 0.05), USD 0.01, Nordic 0.50 and 1.00, and round-up-to-0.10 — each with a plain-language, worked-example description.
Plain-language rounding explanation
POS Settings shows a plain sentence describing exactly what the active rule does, with a worked example (e.g. "12.63 rounds to 12.65").
Live rounding preview
Type a sample total in Settings and see the rounded result update instantly, before the rule ever reaches the register.
Unit-labelled, validated input
The rounding field is clearly labelled as a coin denomination and rejects likely mistakes (e.g. entering "5" instead of "0.05") before the value is saved.
Per-payment-method rules
Turn rounding off for payment methods that already settle to the exact cent, such as card, while keeping it on for cash.
One-click Apply Preset
Pick a preset and click Apply — it configures Odoo's native cash rounding for that register in a single step, no manual math required.
Per-order audit trail
Every order records the exact rounding adjustment applied, whether it was rounded at all, and which payment method it is attributed to.
Rounding Analysis report
A dedicated pivot, graph, and list report of rounding adjustments, filterable and grouped by point of sale and payment method for period-end reconciliation.
Built on native rounding math
The rounding calculation itself always runs through Odoo's own cash-rounding engine, so results stay correct and consistent with the rest of Odoo.
How it works
Pick a preset
Choose CHF 0.05, USD 0.01, Nordic 0.50/1.00, or set a custom factor and rounding method yourself.
Preview, then apply
Check the live preview against a sample total, then click Apply Preset to switch on rounding for that register.
Checkout as normal
Rounding is applied automatically at payment; methods you exclude, such as card, settle to the exact cent instead.
Reconcile with the report
Review every rounding adjustment in the Rounding Analysis report, grouped by point of sale and payment method.
