Total Items Quantity adds a single quantity-totals summary to sale orders, purchase orders, deliveries and invoices — tracking ordered, delivered and billed quantities together, and flagging shortfalls, mismatches and limit breaches before they become costly mistakes.
The problem
Odoo lists quantities line by line but never totals them. Reviewing a 40-line purchase order, confirming a large delivery, or reconciling an invoice means scrolling every line and adding the numbers by hand — slow, error-prone, and repeated at every stage by every team that touches the order.

Total Items Quantity adds a consistent totals widget to sale orders, purchase orders, deliveries and invoices, tracking ordered, done and billed quantities together and actively flagging shortfalls, billing mismatches and quantity-limit breaches with a warning banner — so problems surface before they cost money.

Totals On Every Document
A Quantity Totals summary appears in the header of sale orders, purchase orders, deliveries and invoices, showing total ordered quantity and distinct product count without scrolling a single line.
Three-Way Quantity Tracking
Ordered, done (received or delivered) and billed quantities are tracked side by side on sale and purchase orders, so demand vs. actual vs. billed is obvious in one view.
Shortfall & Mismatch Alerts
A warning banner flags any document where delivered or received quantity falls short of what was ordered, or where billed quantity diverges from what was actually done.
Per-Product Order Limits
Set a minimum and maximum order quantity on any product. Documents that fall below or exceed a product's limit are flagged automatically, product by product.
Company Capacity Ceiling
Configure a maximum total quantity per document at the company level, so unusually large orders are caught even when every line looks reasonable on its own.
Optional Hard Enforcement
Turn on enforcement in Settings and sale and purchase orders cannot be confirmed while a quantity limit is violated — catching mistakes before the vendor or customer ever sees them.
Lock Quantities After Confirmation
Optionally lock ordered quantities once a document is confirmed, blocking silent edits to sale, purchase and invoice lines after approval.
Quantity Overview Lists
Dedicated Sales Quantities and Purchase Quantities list views show ordered, done and billed totals for every order, with shortfalls and alerts color-coded so problem orders stand out immediately.
CSV Export & PDF Totals
Export a quantity summary to CSV for any selection of orders, and see the total quantity printed directly on sale order, purchase order, invoice and delivery slip PDF reports.
