Stock Location Warehouse Identification adds a warehouse column, warehouse field, filters, group-by, and warehouse-aware location pickers across transfers, sales and purchase — plus manual assignment and bulk tagging for locations that need an override.
The problem
Multi-warehouse databases end up with repeated location names like Stock, Shelf A, or Quality Control across every site. Odoo's location list, form, and picker dropdowns give no warehouse context, so inventory clerks and warehouse managers pick the wrong location on transfers, sales orders, and purchase orders — and existing databases have no fast way to tag hundreds of pre-existing locations at once.
The solution
Stock Location Warehouse Identification surfaces the warehouse everywhere a location is seen or picked: as a list column, a form field, a search filter and group-by, and inside every location dropdown. A manual warehouse tag with one-click bulk assignment covers locations that fall outside the hierarchy, and new locations pre-fill their warehouse automatically.

Warehouse Column in the List
See the warehouse of every stock location at a glance in the Locations list, right alongside the location name and hierarchy.
Warehouse on the Location Form
Confirm warehouse context without leaving the record: the effective warehouse and the manual override both show directly on the location form.
Manual Warehouse Assignment
Tag a location with its warehouse directly when it does not sit under a warehouse's own hierarchy, overriding the automatically derived value.
Bulk Warehouse Assignment
Select any number of locations in the list and assign them all to a warehouse in one action from the list's Action menu.
Pre-populated on Creation
New locations suggest the parent location's warehouse automatically, so records are right the first time instead of needing a correction later.
Warehouse in Every Location Dropdown
The warehouse's short code is appended to the location name inside every picker — internal transfers, sales orders, and purchase orders — so the right pick is obvious.
Search Locations by Warehouse
Type a warehouse name or code into any location field and matching locations are found, even when the location's own name does not mention it.
Filter and Group by Warehouse
Use the No Warehouse filter to find unassigned locations, or group the Locations list by warehouse to navigate large multi-site databases quickly.
How it works
Enable Storage Locations
Turn on the Storage Locations setting in Inventory so multi-location and warehouse features are active.
See Warehouse at a Glance
Open the Locations list or a location's form — the warehouse column and field are there immediately, no extra setup required.
Assign or Bulk-Tag
Set a manual warehouse on one location, or select many and use the Assign Warehouse action to tag them all at once.
Pick with Confidence
Work through transfers, sales orders, and purchase orders — the warehouse code shown in every location dropdown removes the guesswork.
