Buy smarter with stock visibility on every PO line.
See on-hand, available, reserved, incoming, and forecast quantities directly on each purchase order line — no Inventory app required, no permission elevation, no guessing.
The problem
Buyers place purchase orders blind to what is already in stock. Odoo's purchase order line shows price and quantity to order but not on-hand, reserved, or incoming stock, so teams tab-hop to Inventory, ping the warehouse, or just guess — leading to over-ordering, stockouts, and duplicate purchases of stock that is already on the way.
The solution
This app adds a live availability panel to every purchase order line: on-hand, available, reserved, incoming, and forecast quantities, scope-labeled by warehouse, with a color-coded status badge and a permission-clean per-location breakdown — visible to purchase users without granting them the Inventory group.
Everything a buyer needs to decide
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Live On Hand, Available, Reserved, Incoming & Forecast
Every purchase order line shows five real-time quantities — on hand, free-to-use, reserved, incoming, and forecast — computed the moment you add a product, so you never leave the order to check stock.
Color-Coded Stock Status Badge
A badge marks each line Out of Stock, Low Stock, or In Stock based on your configured threshold, so buyers can scan a whole purchase order and spot problem lines at a glance.
Warehouse Scope, Clearly Labeled
Pick a specific warehouse per line or leave it blank for an all-warehouses total. Every figure carries an explicit scope label — All Warehouses or Warehouse: [name] — so no one has to guess what a number means.
Permission-Clean Per-Location Breakdown
Open the Stock by Location wizard to see on-hand, reserved, and free quantity for every internal location holding the product — without granting the buyer any Inventory access.
Insufficient-Stock Warnings
When incoming and outgoing movements would still leave projected stock negative, the line surfaces a clear warning so buyers catch the shortfall before confirming the order.
One-Click Forecast Report Drill-Down
Inventory-enabled users can jump straight from the purchase order line to Odoo's native product forecast report for full receipt and delivery detail on that product.
Filter Purchase Order Lines by Availability
Search and filter purchase order lines by Out of Stock, Low Stock, or In Stock status, so buyers can triage large orders instead of reading every row.
Visible to Purchase Users, No Inventory Group Needed
Stock figures are read with elevated access behind the scenes and shown to purchase users automatically — solving the permission-elevation problem that forces buyers into the Inventory group in standard Odoo.
Admin-Configurable Settings
Turn the feature on or off, set the default scope (all warehouses or a single warehouse), choose a default warehouse, and tune the low-stock threshold — all from Purchase settings.
How it works
Turn it on
Enable Stock Availability on PO Lines in Purchase settings and set your default scope and low-stock threshold.
Add order lines
As you add products to the purchase order, on-hand, available, reserved, incoming, and forecast quantities compute automatically for each line.
Scan the badges
Color-coded status badges and insufficient-stock warnings flag lines that need attention before you confirm the order.
Drill into detail
Open the per-location breakdown wizard or the native forecast report for full context, without leaving the purchase order.
