Odoo 18 merged the product name and its description into a single field. This app splits them back into two clean, independently editable columns across quotations, purchase orders and invoices — on screen, in PDFs and on the customer portal — with code-free width, alignment and visibility controls.
The problem
Odoo 18 collapsed the product name and its description into one stacked cell on quotations, orders and invoices. Teams with long product names, technical specifications or multi-line descriptions lose the clean, scannable layout their customers expect, and hand-editing every line to compensate is slow, error-prone and does not restore true column separation on printed documents.
The solution
This app restores the pre-Odoo-18 layout with a dedicated, editable Description column on every sale, purchase and invoice line — and goes further, with a Sales Settings panel to tune column width, auto-fit, alignment and emphasis without touching a single line of CSS, plus an internal-only note field for text that should never reach the customer.
