The problem
Software vendors track license keys, expiries and customer bindings in spreadsheets, so keys get lost, renewals slip past unnoticed, and there is no audit trail linking a license back to the sale that created it. IT and compliance teams face the same gap in reverse: proving purchased seats match installed seats during an audit means a manual reconciliation with no help from Odoo.
The solution
Software License Management issues a license automatically when a sale confirms, delivers a certificate by email, and tracks every renewal, transfer and installation against the original order. A built-in compliance engine compares purchased entitlements to installed seats and flags over- or under-licensing before it becomes an audit finding.
