One Product Record, Every Unit Of Measure
Assign cases, packs, pallets, and any other unit to a single product, each with its own price, barcode, and label — then sell and purchase in whichever unit fits, with pricing, stock, and an audit trail resolved automatically.
The problem
The same physical product sells by the unit, the six-pack, and the case — and gets purchased by the pallet. Native Odoo tracks one base unit and one reference unit per product, so merchants end up duplicating product records per pack size or doing UoM price math by hand, which drags down catalogs, purchasing, and reporting accuracy.
The solution
Product Multi UoM lets one product template carry any number of alternate units — each with its own price, barcode, and packaging label — built directly on Odoo 19’s native UoM hierarchy. Sales orders and purchase orders resolve the correct per-UoM price automatically, and every conversion is logged for variance review.
Everything a multi-unit catalog needs
Every capability below is implemented in the module.
Multiple UoMs Per Product
Attach any number of alternate units — Unit, 6-Pack, Case of 12, Pallet — to one product template, each with its own price, barcode, packaging label, and image.
Auto Or Fixed Pricing Per UoM
Choose automatic pricing (base list price times the unit’s conversion factor) or set a fixed price per unit — no manual price math when a customer picks a different pack size.
Built On Native UoM Hierarchy
Uses Odoo 19’s own relative-unit conversion engine, with a same-family validation that stops an alternate unit from being assigned outside the product’s unit family.
UoM-Specific Pricelist Rules
Add a pricelist rule scoped to one unit of measure. When both a fixed UoM price and a pricelist rule apply, the most specific UoM rule wins — a documented, predictable precedence.
Per-UoM Price On Sales Orders
Selecting an alternate unit on a sales order line resolves the correct price automatically, so sales reps never re-key or recalculate a case or pack price.
Purchase-Side Unit Conversion
Buy from a vendor in pallets or bulk units while stock still tracks in the base unit, with supplier cost recorded against the purchased unit for accurate landed cost.
Conversion Audit Trail
Every sales and purchase confirmation that crosses a unit conversion writes an audit log entry, with expected vs. actual converted quantity and a highlighted variance/wastage percentage.
Category-Level UoM Templates
Define a reusable set of units on a product category, then apply it to every product in that category in one action — no more configuring the same units product by product.
Configurable Defaults
Set the default pricing mode, turn the conversion audit log on or off, and choose the rounding rule for conversions, all from one Settings screen.
How it works
Assign Units
Add alternate UoMs to a product — or apply a category template to configure a whole product line at once.
Set Pricing
Choose auto or fixed pricing per unit, and optionally add a UoM-specific pricelist rule for volume or channel pricing.
Sell Or Purchase
Pick the unit on a sales or purchase order line — the correct price resolves automatically and stock stays in the base unit.
Review The Audit Trail
Check the conversion audit log for expected-vs-actual quantities and variance on every unit-crossing order confirmation.

No — it builds directly on Odoo 19’s native UoM hierarchy and conversion engine. Alternate units must share the same unit family as the product’s base unit, enforced automatically.
