Odoo’s native Quality module has no purpose-built print for quality alerts. Four Scenario-Ready Layouts
Choose General, Batch Rejection, Rework Instruction, or Compliance Hold from the Print Layout field, and the PDF ships with a matching colour-coded ribbon so it reads correctly the moment it reaches the floor.
One-Click Print
A header Print button on the Quality Alert form generates the PDF instantly, using the exact layout selected for that alert.
Batch Printing
Select several alerts in the list view and use the Print cog to generate every PDF in a single action — no more printing one alert at a time.
QR Traceability
Every printout carries a scannable QR code that links straight back to the alert in Odoo, so a paper copy on the floor can be reopened on screen in seconds.
Signed Sign-Off Block
A dedicated Printing & Sign-off tab captures the approver’s name, role, sign-off date, and a drawn signature, all rendered on the printed page for the audit trail.
Send by Email
A header Send by Email button opens a pre-filled composer with the PDF already attached, so the alert reaches an operator, supplier, or quality lead without a manual download.
Automatic PDF Archival
Every generated PDF is stored as an attachment against the record, with an Archived PDFs stat button showing the running count and opening the full history.
Manufacturing Order Context
The linked manufacturing order, product, and lot numbers appear on the printout, so the paper copy carries the full shop-floor context, not just the alert text.
Multilingual Output
The PDF renders in the vendor’s or responsible user’s language automatically, so multi-site and export-oriented teams get one install that speaks every site’s language.
How it works
Open a Quality Alert
Open the alert from the floor or an inspection, and choose a Print Layout: General, Batch Rejection, Rework Instruction, or Compliance Hold.
Capture Sign-Off
Fill in the Printing & Sign-off tab with the approver’s name, role, and signature before it goes to print.
Print or Send
Print a single alert from the header button, print a whole batch from the list, or send the PDF by email straight from the composer.
Archive & Trace
Every copy is archived as an attachment automatically, and the QR code on the page lets anyone scan back to the live record.
