The problem
Cashiers routinely need product facts the standard POS checkout tile does not show — internal codes, stock on hand, supplier notes, weight, or compliance details — forcing them to leave the till, open the backend, or ask a manager. Existing detail add-ons make this worse by dumping every configured field onto the screen at once, creating the exact information overload staff are trying to avoid.
The solution
POS Product Detail adds a single info button to every product card that opens a clean, grouped popup. Merchants curate which fields appear, order them, and decide which groups stay open by default and which collapse until needed — so cashiers see the few facts that matter first, with everything else one tap away.

Curated Detail Groups
Organize product information into named, ordered groups such as "Key Details" or "Logistics" instead of one flat list of fields.
Progressive Disclosure
Critical groups stay open by default; secondary groups collapse until a cashier taps to expand them, keeping the popup clean at a glance.
Drag-to-Reorder
Sequence handles let merchants reorder both groups and the fields inside them from the backend list view, so the most-used detail sits first.
Role-Based Field Gating
Mark a whole group or an individual field manager-only so cost, margin, and other sensitive data stay hidden from everyday cashiers.
One-Tap Info Button
Every POS product card gets a small info icon that opens the detail popup instantly, without adding the item to the order.
Curated Attribute Set
Choose from thirteen ready-made product attributes — reference, barcode, stock on hand, price, cost, weight, volume, unit of measure, category, and description fields — per field.
How it works
Configure Groups
In POS > Configuration > Product Detail Groups, create named groups and add fields with drag-to-reorder sequencing.
Set Visibility
Mark sensitive groups or fields manager-only, and choose which groups start collapsed.
Enable in Settings
Turn on Product Detail in POS Settings to show the info button on every product card.
Look Up at the Register
Cashiers tap the info icon to view curated details instantly, expanding collapsed groups as needed.
