The problem
The POS Product Info popup and order lines expose cost, margin, stock and supplier data to whoever taps them — often a part-time cashier standing in front of a customer. Existing hide-info apps offer only one global on/off switch, so a manager who needs full visibility and a cashier who must never see profitability data are stuck with the same setting.
The solution
POS Hide Product Information adds reusable visibility profiles that hide the popup by section (Financials, Inventory, Replenishment, Orders) or by individual field (cost, margin, supplier, pricelists). Assign profiles by role or by user, keep a supervisor group that always sees everything, and control receipt and order-line images independently.
Granular, role-aware visibility control

Section-Level Popup Hiding
Hide the Header, Inventory, Replenishment, Optional Products, Financials or Order sections of the Product Info popup independently while keeping the info button usable.
Field-Level Financial Hiding
Go one level deeper inside Financials and hide Cost, Margin, Supplier price and Pricelists individually, so stock can stay visible while profitability data stays hidden.
Preset Visibility Profiles
Apply one-click presets such as Hide Financials or Show Essentials Only instead of hand-picking sections and fields every time, or build a fully custom profile.
Role-Based Defaults
Assign a profile as the global default or the cashier default in POS Settings, and every matching user inherits it automatically — no per-user setup for whole teams.
Per-User Override
Assign an individual visibility profile to any user from their Preferences to override the role default for that one exception, without touching the shared defaults.
Supervisor Override Group
Choose a group in Settings whose members always see the full Product Info popup, no matter what profile is assigned elsewhere — the escape hatch cashier-only rules need.
Independent Image Controls
Hide product images on receipts and on order lines with two separate switches, so removing an image from one never removes it from the other.
Per-Product Receipt Suppression
Flag individual products — free items, promotions, service fees — to disappear from receipts entirely, keeping printed output clean and professional.
Hide The Edit Button
Remove the popup's Edit action per profile so cashiers can open Product Info to check details without ever being able to alter product data at the register.
How it works
Create a Visibility Profile
Go to POS > Configuration > Visibility Profiles, pick a preset or hand-pick which sections and fields to hide.
Assign Defaults
Set the global default and cashier default profile in POS Settings, and pick the supervisor group that bypasses hiding.
Fine-Tune Per User or Product
Override an individual user's profile from their Preferences, and flag specific products to hide from receipts.
Sell With Confidence
Cashiers open Product Info at the register and see only what their profile allows; supervisors still see everything.
