The problem
Packers-and-movers teams price jobs by hand — a staffer looks up distance, multiplies by a rate, and adds charges from memory. Every quote is inconsistent, bookings live on paper or in spreadsheets, and there is no single place tying the customer, the assigned truck and the schedule together, so double-booked trucks and missed pickups happen routinely.
The solution
Packers & Movers Management runs the whole lifecycle in Odoo: capture an inquiry, auto-price it from an admin-maintained route table and configurable rules, confirm the booking, assign an available truck and crew, and keep the customer updated through a self-service portal — from first call to delivered.

Every job moves through Inquiry, Quote, Booking, In Transit and Delivered, so leads are captured and tracked instead of jumping straight to a confirmed booking.
Distance-Based Automatic Pricing
An admin-maintained Routes table supplies the pickup-to-drop distance, so every quote is computed the same way instead of by hand.
Configurable Pricing Rules
Per-kilometer rates, handling charges, minimum charges and job-size pricing tiers price non-linear jobs correctly, not just distance times rate.
Truck & Goods Classification
A Truck Type catalog tracks container dimensions, weight capacity and per-km rate, and a Goods Type catalog drives handling charges and price multipliers for fragile or bulk cargo.
Fleet-Linked Truck Assignment
Trucks are native Fleet vehicles flagged for moving jobs, and assigning one to a booking is validated against existing jobs to prevent double-booking.
Crew Scheduling
Assign a named crew with individual member lines (name, role, phone) to each job, covering the packing and loading labor no competing app tracks.
Operations Dashboard
A grouped kanban Operations Board gives coordinators one screen for every job, filterable by status, date and city.
Public Request Form & Customer Portal
A public "Request a Move" page accepts inquiries with no login, and a portal lets registered customers see their quote and live move status.
PDF Quote & Booking Documents
Generate a professional quote or booking PDF straight from the record to hand or email to the customer.
