The problem
Odoo's native "Grant portal access" is a per-contact action buried in a settings menu. Onboarding dozens or hundreds of customers after a migration, import or self-service launch means repeating the same clicks over and over, with no way to see who already has access and no record of what happened.

Bulk Multi-Select Grant
Select any number of contacts in the Contacts list and grant portal access to all of them in a single action, reusing Odoo's standard portal-user mechanism.
Mandatory Preview Before Commit
Before anything is created, review an editable, row-by-row preview showing exactly which contacts will get access and which will be skipped, with the reason for each.
Portal-Access Badge on Contacts
A status badge on the Contacts list, plus matching search filters, shows at a glance who already has portal access, so you never select blindly.
Automatic Duplicate Skipping
Contacts that already have portal access, or that are linked to an internal user, are detected and skipped automatically — safe to run on any selection.
Detailed Results Summary
After granting, see an explicit breakdown of how many users were created versus skipped, with the specific reason listed for every skipped contact.
Progress on Every Run
A processed-versus-total progress indicator confirms large batches ran to completion, so you are never left wondering if a big selection is still working.
Persistent Audit Log
Every bulk run is recorded in a Grant History log — who ran it, when, and the full list of contacts processed and users created.
Exportable Report
Print or export a PDF report of the portal users created in a run — an audit trail and hand-off document with identity details only, never credentials.

How it works
Select Contacts
From the Contacts list, multi-select the customers, vendors or contacts you want to onboard to the portal.
Launch the Wizard
Choose Grant Portal Access (Bulk) from the Actions menu to open the preview wizard for your selection.
Review the Preview
Check the row-by-row preview — who will be granted access, who will be skipped, and why — and correct emails if needed.
Grant and Review Results
Click Grant Portal Access to create the users, then review the results summary, the audit log entry and the exportable report.
