The problem
Odoo stores a person's identity as one free-text Name field. Mail-merge, formal documents, payroll and invoicing records, and CRM syncs with tools like HubSpot and Salesforce all need first and last name as separate, addressable data — and legacy imports often arrive with names that were never split in the first place.
