The problem
Odoo's standard export turns image and binary fields into long Base64 text strings that nobody can read, or drops them entirely. Anyone sharing a product catalog, stock list, supplier RFQ, or visual price sheet ends up copy-pasting pictures into spreadsheets one record at a time, because most export tools only work on a single model like products or invoices.
The solution
Export Any Model Image in Excel adds an "Export Image in Excel" action to the standard Actions menu on every list view. Pick the image field, choose a resolution, and download a real.xlsx with the pictures embedded and viewable, or a CSV with a present/absent column, in seconds, on any model, with no configuration.

Any model, one menu item
The Export Image in Excel action appears in the standard Actions menu of every list view in Odoo — contacts, products, employees, or any custom model — with no per-model setup required.
Images embedded, not Base64
Selected image fields are written into the generated.xlsx file as real, viewable pictures placed directly in the cell — never as long Base64 text strings.
Choose your resolution
Pick 128px, 256px, 512px, or 1024px per export so the file stays lightweight for a quick catalog or sharp for a printed price sheet.
Pick your image and data fields
Select which image field to export and which data columns to include alongside it, scoped automatically to the fields available on the source model.
Preview before you export
A live thumbnail gallery shows exactly how the selected images will look before you generate the file, so there are no surprises in the download.
CSV alongside Excel
Choose CSV instead of Excel to export the same data with an image-present column, for lightweight imports and integrations that don't need embedded pictures.
Optional company logo header
Add your company's logo as a header row on the exported spreadsheet for a branded, presentation-ready catalog or price sheet.
How it works
Select records
In any list view, select the records whose images you want to export.
Open Export Image in Excel
Click Actions, then Export Image in Excel to launch the wizard scoped to your selection.
Configure and preview
Pick the image field, data columns, resolution, format, and optional logo, then check the live thumbnail preview.
Download your file
Click Export to download a ready-to-share.xlsx or.csv with the pictures embedded and viewable.
