Standard Odoo list views force every team to rebuild the same date filters by hand — picking a field, an operator, and typing exact dates — with no way to see how many records a preset or range will return until after it is applied. Competing apps hide the trigger behind an unlabeled toolbar icon, require Studio for anything beyond built-in presets, and offer no role-specific guidance, so teams keep relying on tutorials just to filter by time.
The solution
Dynamic Date Filter adds a clearly labeled section right inside the search dropdown that auto-detects every date field on the active model and shows a live result-count badge next to each preset before you click. Ready-made role packs for Sales, CRM, Project, and HR light up automatically, favorite combinations can be saved and shared with the team, and a first-use tip walks new users through it — no developer mode, no Studio, no tutorials.

Today, Yesterday, This/Last Week, This/Last Month, This/Last Quarter, and This/Last Year — the full baseline set, ready on install.
Rolling custom ranges
Last-N-days, last-N-weeks, and last-N-months windows with an adjustable count, for ad-hoc periods the fixed presets do not cover.
Predictive freshness filters
One-click "Recently Changed" and "Recently Created" filters surface the freshest records with no date to pick at all.
Role-labeled preset packs
Named, ready-to-use presets for Sales (Aged Quotations), CRM (Leads Changed This Week), Project (Tasks Changed This Week), and HR (Recent Hires) — and they auto-light-up for Accounting and Purchase if installed.
Save, name and share filters
Name a date-filter combination once, keep it for yourself, or share it company-wide or with a specific group so the whole team standardizes on the same view.
Combines with your other filters
Applied date filters compose automatically with any active text or relational search criteria, and count previews reflect the currently active filters too.
