The problem
Odoo forms go stale the moment something changes them outside your own click — a scheduled job finishes, a colleague edits the same record, a server automation writes a computed value, or a related document updates a field your form depends on. The only native fix is a full browser reload, and that throws away your scroll position, the open notebook tab, list filters and sort order, and any unsaved edits sitting in other fields. For anyone working a record for more than a few seconds, that is a repeated, jarring interruption.
The solution
Client Action Refresh adds a one-click Refresh button that reloads just the current record in place, plus automatic background polling that detects when the underlying data changes and refreshes it for you — without ever touching a field you are still editing. Only the fields whose values actually changed are updated, changed values flash so you can see exactly what moved, and Chatter refreshes alongside the form. Configure where the button lives, and refresh several open records in one action from the breadcrumb pager.
