The problem
Building an order in Odoo’s default catalog means scrolling image-heavy Kanban cards and clicking into each one just to see the internal reference, price, category, or stock level. For a catalog with hundreds or thousands of SKUs, adding ten products to a quotation or RfQ turns into a slow, repetitive chore — and comparing products side by side is nearly impossible when the numbers are hidden behind card borders.
The solution
Catalog List View swaps the Kanban board for a dense, sortable table with Reference, Product, Category, On Hand, and Forecasted stock columns. Add, adjust quantity, or remove a line right from the row — changes sync to the order in real time, on both sales quotations and purchase RfQs, with a one-click switch back to Kanban whenever you want the pictures back.

List-First, One Click to Kanban
A company setting makes the List the default catalog view; anyone who prefers pictures can switch back to Kanban instantly with the standard view switcher, no reload required.
Built-In Search & Category Filter
The catalog’s own search box and category filter panel stay in place, so finding a product happens inside the list — not through a separate screen.
Personalized Columns
Each user can show or hide individual columns with the standard column chooser, keeping the table as dense or as lean as they prefer.
Back to Quotation / Order
A dedicated control-panel button returns straight to the quotation or RfQ you were building, so leaving the catalog never breaks your flow.
How it works
Open the Catalog
Click Catalog on a sales quotation or purchase RfQ to open the product list.
Scan and Sort
Sort by reference, price, category, or stock to find exactly what you need.
Add Inline
Use Add, +/-, or the quantity field on any row to build the order without leaving the list.
Confirm and Return
Watch totals sync in real time, then click Back to Quotation/Order to continue.
