Generate a linked, fully-populated draft sale order straight from a posted customer invoice or vendor bill — no re-keying customer, line, tax, or payment-term data ever again.
The problem
Odoo's native flow only runs Sale Order to Invoice. When an invoice or vendor bill already exists on its own — imported from a POS, a spreadsheet, a legacy system, or simply billed first — there is no supported way back to a sales document. Accountants and order-processing clerks end up re-typing customer, product, quantity, price, tax, and payment-term data by hand into a new quotation: slow, error-prone, and impossible to trace back to its source.
The solution
One button on the invoice or vendor bill creates a draft sale order that faithfully copies the partner, dates, payment term, fiscal position, and every line — quantity, unit price, discount, taxes, sections and notes included. Bidirectional smart buttons keep both documents linked for audit, and a batch action converts many invoices into their own sale orders in a single pass.

One-click Create Sale Order
A header button on the customer invoice builds a linked draft sale order instantly — shown only when a customer is set and no order has been generated yet.
Vendor bill support
The matching "Generate Sale Order" button on vendor bills covers the reverse-purchase flow that most competing apps skip entirely.
Draft-first review
Every generated sale order lands in draft for a human to check before confirming — with an optional setting to auto-confirm instead.
Complete, faithful field transfer
Every product line copies verbatim — quantity, unit price, discount, UoM and taxes — alongside section headers and notes, so nothing about the original document is lost.
Fiscal position, terms & dates
Fiscal position, payment terms, document dates and notes carry across automatically, keeping tax mapping and terms consistent with the source document.
Bidirectional smart buttons
A count-badge smart button on the invoice jumps to its generated sale orders, and a matching smart button on the sale order jumps straight back to its source document.
Duplicate-order guard
Once a sale order has been generated, the create button disappears automatically — no risk of accidentally spawning a second, duplicate order.
Batch conversion
Select any number of invoices in the list view and generate a sale order for each one in a single action — ideal for back-filling history.
Configurable, zero-setup
Works immediately after install with sensible defaults, and every copy rule — payment term, fiscal position, dates, notes, auto-confirm — can be toggled from Sales > Settings.

Open the invoice or bill
Open any customer invoice or vendor bill that has a partner set.
Click Create / Generate Sale Order
One header button builds a draft sale order with every line and header field copied faithfully.
Review the draft order
You land directly on the new draft sale order to check details before confirming it.
Navigate or convert in bulk
Jump between the two documents anytime with smart buttons, or select many invoices and convert them all at once.

The partner, company, payment term, fiscal position, document date, and notes carry over from the header, and every invoice line — product, quantity, unit price, discount, UoM and taxes — along with section and note lines copy verbatim. Payment term, fiscal position, dates and notes can each be toggled off from Settings if you prefer not to copy them.
