The problem
Multi-location businesses running one Odoo database have no way to show customers or branch users which unit a Sales Order, Invoice, Project, Task or Lead belongs to. Branch staff can see records outside their own unit, and managers overseeing several branches have no consolidated view — a data-segregation problem and a reporting blind spot at once.
The solution
A configurable Branch/Unit hierarchy maps onto the company, warehouse and manager you already use, and tags every Sales Order, Invoice, Project, Task and Lead. The customer portal gets a branch switcher, per-branch dashboards, cross-branch inventory and record-rule based segregation — so branch users see only their own records and managers see the whole subtree.
