The problem
Standard Odoo shows a weight field on the product form and a rough total on the delivery order, but nothing carries it cleanly through the quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay flow. Sales reps cannot see shipment weight while quoting, buyers cannot verify an inbound PO against the supplier's stated tonnage, and warehouse staff have no single place to compare ordered weight against what actually goes out the door — so teams re-key totals into spreadsheets, and the errors that creates cause under- or over-charged freight and overloaded vehicles.
