The problem
Native Odoo inventory valuation keeps a single company-wide average cost, so cheap stock received at one warehouse silently distorts the reported cost of identical stock held at another. Multi-site distributors, 3PLs, and manufacturers with region-specific supplier pricing end up with inventory values, margins, and COGS that do not reflect what any one location actually paid — and the only native workaround is splitting each warehouse into its own company, which fractures reporting and breaks transfers.
