Customize any list view in seconds
Add extra fields as columns to Contacts, Sales, Invoicing or any other backend list — pick the field, tune the widget, drag it into place, and it sticks. No debug mode, no developer ticket.
The problem
Every Odoo list view ships with a fixed set of columns. The moment a sales operations lead, accounting clerk or team lead needs one more field visible — a phone number, a job title, a status — they either learn to edit views or file a ticket and wait. Column widths make it worse: resize them today and they silently reset on the next refresh.
The solution
A Customize List button appears on every backend list. Users pick a field, choose where it goes and how it renders, and apply it — the extra column shows up immediately and stays there, saved server-side per user or shared globally by a manager. Column widths persist the same way, across refreshes, navigation and logins.

Add any field as a column
Open the Customize List dialog from any backend list and pick from the model's real fields — the picker is always aware of the current model, so it only ever offers fields that exist on it.
Before, after, or at the end
Choose exactly where the new column lands relative to an existing column, instead of always appending it to the far right.
Pick the right widget
Select a widget suited to the field — badge, boolean toggle, monetary, progress bar and more — and set decimal places for numeric values so the column reads correctly.
Show or hide with one toggle
A single, unambiguous Show column switch controls visibility — no guessing what an unlabeled checkbox does.
Resize, auto-fit, and it stays that way
Drag a column border to resize or double-click it to auto-fit the content, then keep working — the width is saved and survives navigation, refresh and logging back in.
Personal or global scope
Save a customization just for yourself, or, as a manager, publish it globally so every user sees the same layout on that list.
Reorder and remove added columns
Drag added columns into a new order or remove them from the Customize dialog at any time — nothing is permanent.
Preview before you apply
See a live preview of the resulting columns and sample data inside the dialog before committing, so there is never a guess-and-check trip away from the list.
Restore the original layout
One Restore Original action removes the customization and puts the list straight back to its stock columns.

Add one or more fields, then set position, widget, decimals and visibility for each.
Preview and apply
Check the live preview, then click Apply to commit the new columns to the list.
Resize and it sticks
Drag or auto-fit column widths as you work — every width, and every added column, is saved server-side for next time.
