The problem
Salespeople confirm quotations and warehouses validate transfers without any real check against on-hand stock. Odoo's native warning is easy to click past, so overselling happens exactly when speed matters most — leaving negative inventory, broken promises, and manual clean-up for the warehouse team to untangle after the fact.
The solution
Restrict Out of Stock Product replaces the ignorable warning with true enforcement. Shortage and low-stock lines are flagged red and orange the moment they are added, sales order confirmation and warehouse transfers are hard-blocked, and a role-restricted manager can approve a justified exception that is written to a permanent audit log.
