The problem
Odoo's eCommerce variant selector stamps a "+ price" badge on every option with a surcharge. On SKU-heavy catalogs that becomes dozens of badges per product, exposes internal pricing deltas shoppers do not need to see, and clashes with custom storefront designs — yet the only native fix is editing templates or resetting every variant price by hand.
The solution
This module keeps the badge logic inside Odoo's own pricing hooks — no template surgery — and lets you decide exactly where it shows: a store-wide switch, per-product and per-category overrides, and a surcharge threshold. A paired bulk action zeroes out extra prices when that is really the goal, fully reversible, plus an in-app preview so you see the effect before publishing.

Store-wide master switch
One setting in Website configuration turns off the extra-price badge across the entire storefront, matching the simple baseline every merchant expects.
Per-product override
Force any product to always show or always hide its badge, regardless of the store-wide setting or its category — the explicit exception always wins.
Per-category override
Apply a show or hide rule to an entire eCommerce category at once, so a whole product line like apparel or accessories follows one consistent rule.
Surcharge threshold
Set a minimum surcharge amount and badges below it disappear automatically, so trivial deltas stay hidden while meaningful price differences remain visible.
Reversible bulk zero-out
Select any products and zero out their variant extra prices in one action, with the original values backed up automatically for a one-click restore.
In-app before/after preview
Preview exactly how the variant selector will look with the badge shown versus hidden, right from the settings screen, before changing anything live.
Optional list column
Add the badge visibility rule as an optional column on the product list, so you can review and adjust settings across your whole catalog at a glance.
No template surgery
The badge is hidden by influencing Odoo's own pricing computation, not by rewriting storefront markup, so it stays consistent through QWeb rendering, JS variant switches, and future theme or version upgrades.
How it works
Set the defaults
Turn on the store-wide switch and, optionally, a surcharge threshold from Website > Configuration > Settings.
Fine-tune by product or category
Override the default on individual products or whole eCommerce categories wherever the store-wide rule should not apply.
Preview the effect
Open the badge preview from Settings to see the variant selector with the badge shown and hidden before it goes live.
Clean up pricing (optional)
If the real goal is removing surcharges, run the reversible bulk action to zero out extra prices across selected products.
